Ambassador Nabijon Kasimov holds talks with Vice-President of German Bundestag Hans-Peter Friedrich

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Germany Nabijon Kasimov has met with Vice-President of the German Bundestag Hans-Peter Friedrich.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation, including in political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Special attention was paid to inter-parliamentary relations and cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Kasimov informed the German side in detail about ongoing reforms in various spheres of public and political life, foreign policy initiatives of Uzbekistan, favorable investment climate created in the country and measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus.

Welcoming the positive changes taking place in Uzbekistan, the Vice-President of the Bundestag stressed the importance of intensifying close cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.

Noting that he is a deputy from the Federal State of Bavaria, Hans-Peter Friedrich expressed his readiness to assist in the activation of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Bavaria, which is one of the most economically developed regions of Germany.

Following the talks, the parties expressed their readiness to continue contacts in order to further enhance bilateral multifaceted cooperation.
