Sales of electronic insurance for cars to begin on March 1

The Government has adopted the Resolution “On additional measures to improve the provision of electronic insurance services”.

According to the document, electronic insurance services (E-policy) are carried out in the structure of a single information system. By July 1, 2021, E-policy Information Modules will be installed in the system.

In addition, the decree approved the rules for the sale, registration and verification of the authenticity of E-policies for compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners. According to them, the sale, registration of E-policies is carried out between the insurer and the insurance organization through electronic exchange of information.

Starting March 1, 2021, the Ministry of Finance, together with the insurance organizations, will carry out the sale and processing of E-policies for the compulsory liability insurance of vehicle owners.

It is noted that E-policy is equated to a paper insurance policy.
