Khokim of Samarkand region goes on a short-term medical leave

Khokim of the Samarkand region Erkinjon Turdimov is on a short-term medical leave to restore his health, the regional administration reported.

According to Kun.uz source, Turdimov is currently in the city of Tashkent, where he is receiving medical treatment.

Erkinjon Turdimov, 51, has been serving as the khokim of the Samarkand region since 2018. Prior to that, he headed the Surkhandarya region from 2016 to 2018 and the Navoi region – from 2008 to 2016.
