Ambassador Bahrom Ashrafkhanov meets with Defense Minister of Azerbaijan in Baku to discuss military cooperation
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov met on February 17 with the Defense Minister of the country Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Trend said with reference to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
At the meeting, Zakir Hasanov stressed that relations in the field of defense, as in all spheres, are successfully developing within the interests of the two countries. He also informed Ashrafkhanov about reforms and achievements in the sphere of army development.
The ambassador, in turn, noted the interest of Uzbekistan in holding joint military exercises and training with Azerbaijan, organizing exchange programs in the military-educational institutions of the republic with the participation of the servicemen of Uzbekistan’s Armed Forces.
A number of other issues related to the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of defense and military education were discussed at the meeting.
