Uzbekistan increases export of clothing to Kazakhstan
In 2020, Kazakhstan imported 77.2 thousand tons of clothing, 13 thousand tons of which came from Uzbekistan.
The indicator increased by 27.2% compared to 2019.
The total cost of imported clothing amounted to $626.3 million, which is 9.6% less than a year earlier, LS reports.
The deliveries came mainly from China – 44.6 thousand tons (an increase of 44.1%) for $194.5 million, Uzbekistan – 13 thousand tons (+ 30.4%) for $20.8 million and Russia – 10.1 thousand tons, (+ 9.2%) for $182.8 million.
According to the report, Turkey sold 5.5 thousand tons of clothing to Kazakhstan (a decrease of 15.3%) for $114.3 million. In addition, Bangladesh supplied 1.1 thousand tons, Kyrgyzstan – 894 tons, and Belarus – 393.1 tons.
