Kazakhstan proposes Uzbekistan producing QazCovid-in coronavirus vaccine
The head of the Kazakh Ministry of Health, Alexey Tsoi, suggested that the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Abduhakim Khojiboyev, consider the possibility of producing QazCovid-in vaccine.
Alexey Tsoi visited Uzbekistan as part of an official delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Eraly Togjanov.
During the working visit, the parties discussed issues of cooperation in the pharmaceutical sphere, held a number of meetings and negotiations, and familiarized themselves with the work of medical facilities in Tashkent.
During negotiations with the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Abduhakim Khojiboyev, the head of the Kazakh Ministry of Health proposed to consider the possibility of producing the Kazakh inactivated vaccine QazCovid-in on the basis of one of the pharmaceutical enterprises of Uzbekistan.

“We propose to intensify the partnership in the fight against the pandemic, to create effective cooperation in terms of rapid response to such situations, as well as to establish a permanent exchange of information on the current epidemiological situation and the ongoing measures for its stabilization,” Tsoi said.
The Minister also pointed out that there is a need to give impetus to collaboration in the area of health by concluding an agreement between health ministries on cooperation.
