Uzbekistan Railways sends an appeal to Kazakhstan and Russia to resume international rail services
Uzbekistan Railways JSC has sent an appeal to the railway administrations of Kazakhstan and Russia on the gradual resumption of international railway services, the company’s information-analytical media center reported.
“Uzbekistan Railways has sent an appeal to the railway administrations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on the gradual restoration of international railway services. The appeal is being considered by the competent authorities of both countries,” the report reads.
It is also noted that after studying the proposals of passengers, new routes have been opened in local destinations. In particular, trains have been launched on the routes Termez-Khiva-Termez, Andijan-Nukus-Andijan, Tashkent-Namangan-Andijan, Andijan-Namangan-Tashkent, Andijan-Khiva-Andijan, Tashkent-Alat-Tashkent and Tashkent-Shovot.
