“Now the land can only be sold or leased through an auction” – President
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that from now on, the allocation of land by district khokims will be stopped, and this work will be carried out only through auctions. This was stated by the head of state at a video conference on the implementation of tasks to ensure employment of the population through the development of agriculture, entrepreneurship and services, as well as increase livestock, poultry and fish products.
“If you don’t understand the essence of the matter, ask and understand. We are getting into a big system, and if every regional and district khokim understands this issue and takes it seriously, the number of unemployed will fall sharply.
From now on, the land allocation is prohibited, the land can only be sold or leased at auction. Let the one who buys the land be honest and buy it openly. Allocation of land by district khokims will be stopped. The land will be allocated only by the President,” Kun.uz correspondent quoted the head of state as saying.
The President said that he had signed a decree to resolve the issue of land allocation.
“I have signed a decree to resolve the issue of land allocation. Now, the practice of giving land directly and free of charge to business entities will be completely abandoned. Land will be sold or leased as private property through the transparent and electronic auction. All the powers of district and city khokims related to land allocation and their return have been revoked.
The council, headed by Prosecutor General Yuldashev and Deputy Prime Minister Ganiyev, will oversee the implementation, organization and control of the decree,” the President noted.
