Statistics Committee announces regions with highest number of births

The State Statistics Committee has published information on the regions with the highest number of births in January-June 2021.

According to the committee, in the first six months of the year, 391,258 births were registered in the country.

The number of births in the regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the city of Tashkent:

• Karakalpakstan - 16,791 children;
• Andijan - 36,678 children;
• Bukhara - 17 859 children;
• Jizzakh - 18,405 children;
• Kashkadarya - 41,944 children;
• Navoi - 11,686 children;
• Namangan - 33,788 children;
• Samarkand - 47,439 children;
• Surkhandarya - 35,653 children;
• Syrdarya - 10,133 children;
• Tashkent - 32,664 children;
• Fergana - 43,588 children;
• Khorezm - 16,583 children;
• The city of Tashkent - 28,047 children.
