STC clarifies tax paid by individuals who are engaged in private taxi

The State Tax Committee (STC) told what tax will be paid by individuals engaged in private cabs.

As the head of the STC press service Muzaffar Nazarov said during the AIMC briefing, this year, individuals carrying out activities for the transportation of passengers and registered with the tax authorities as individual entrepreneurs will pay a fixed amount of tax in the amount of 150,000 soums per month.

He stressed that the tax amount will be the same throughout the republic.

“A state fee of 245 thousand soums per year will be charged for the issued license card,” Muzaffar Nazarov added.

It also became known that the state fee will not be levied on those who are registered as an individual entrepreneur before September 1, 2021.

It should be recalled that in early May, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the regulation of the activities of road passenger transportation.

According to the document, until December 31, 2022, as an experiment, individual entrepreneurs were granted the right to carry out activities for the transportation of passengers in light vehicles with 4 seats.

Moreover, in Uzbekistan, a number of requirements for taxi drivers have been canceled.

Later, the State Tax Committee told how individuals can provide taxi services as an individual entrepreneur.
