State Statistics Committee publishes data on demographic situation in Uzbekistan

Demographic indicators of the Republic of Uzbekistan are published in figures. The State Statistics Committee provided relevant information.

According to the Committee, as of July 1, 2021, the demographic indicators of the republic are as follows:

• population – 34.9 million people;
• number of women – 17.3 million;
• number of men – 17.6 million;
• urban population – 17.7 million people;
• rural population – 17.2 million people;
• number of births – 390.7 thousand people;
• number of deaths – 79.7 thousand people;
• number of migrants – 147.2 thousand people;
• number of relocated citizens – 156.8 thousand people;
• number of marriages – 119.0 thousand;
• number of divorces – 19.4 thousand.

Earlier, it was reported that the permanent population of Uzbekistan has reached about 35 million people.
