Over 670 thousand births were registered in Jan-Sept 2021 – Statistics Committee
Since the beginning of the year, 670.7 thousand births have been registered in Uzbekistan
According to the State Statistics Committee, as of October 1, 2021, 670.7 thousand births were registered in the country.
The number of births in the first 9 months of 2021 increased by 9.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
In 30 years, the number of births increased by 16.4%, the committee said.
Earlier it was reported that the permanent population of Samarkand region exceeded 4 million people. Samarkand has become the first region in Uzbekistan to reach that figure.
