On October 26, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, the presidential press service reported.
At the beginning of the conversation, Imran Khan warmly congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the convincing victory in the presidential election, and sincerely wished peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Uzbekistan.
The sides commended the noticeable growth in bilateral trade and the scale of industrial cooperation of the leading companies of Uzbekistan and Pakistan. New projects and programs of collaboration in a number of spheres are being worked out, the statement said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Imran Khan also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan and emphasized the importance of consolidating international efforts in order to promote the establishment of peace and socio-economic development in this country.
