South Korea may partially resume admitting labor migrants from Uzbekistan
The head of the representative office of the External Labor Migration Agency in the Republic of Korea met with the Vice President of the Human Resources Development Service of the country.
According to the agency, the parties discussed the issues of phased resumption of labor migration processes. Detailed information was provided on the decrease in daily cases of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan, as well as on the vaccination of the population.
The Korean side noted that they are planning to partially resume the inflow of labor migrants from Uzbekistan. “Those who have previously worked in South Korea and those who have completed a full course of vaccination will be given a privilege,” the Vice President said.
It was also added that strict adherence to quarantine rules plays an important role in ensuring the regular entry of labor migrants into the Republic of Korea.
