Russian organizations helping labor migrants are preparing an appeal to the official authorities of the Russian Federation with a request to organize vaccination against coronavirus and issue QR codes, the Chairman of the All-Russian Congress of Uzbeks, Uzbek citizens Ibragim Khudayberdiyev reported.

According to him, now labor migrants from Uzbekistan working in Russian regions are complaining about difficulties with vaccination against COVID-19 and obtaining QR codes.

“Migrants from the regions reported that they are not allowed to be vaccinated, because they are not citizens of the Russian Federation. They cannot get vaccinated, and further they do not give codes,” he said.

There are many complaints that migrants cannot find opportunities to get vaccinated, and those who could not get vaccinated are forced to stay at home and go only to the grocery store, Khudayberdiyev explained.

He noted that migrant associations are preparing a letter to the Russian official structures so that migrants are allowed to be vaccinated and receive QR codes.

“Now we are drawing up such a letter and deciding who will sign it and where to send it – apparently to Rospotrebnadzor,” the congress chairman added.
