“In accordance with the decision of the competent authorities of Uzbekistan from November 17, 2021, the citizens of Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Libya and Syria will not be accepted for flights by Belavia Belarusian Airlines, flying from Tashkent to Minsk. The specified restrictions are not applied to the passengers who have diplomatic passports and valid permanent residence permit of Belarus,” the company informed.
They added that passengers facing a ban can make a full refund of the ticket price without deductions.
“To make a refund it is necessary to contact the place of purchase of the ticket,” the statement said.
The decision was made against the backdrop of the unfolding migration crisis in Belarus, where migrants from the Middle East have accumulated on the border with Poland. According to the EU authorities, Minsk is behind the migration crisis.
