Uzbekistan to launch three new external Internet channels
The Government has adopted a decree “On measures for further development of the telecommunications infrastructure in Uzbekistan”.
According to the document, the capacity of the international data transmission channel will increase by 3.5 times by 2023.
Through the existing border crossing points, international channels will be organized in the directions “Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan”, “Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China” and “Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey”.
In China, measures will be taken to create new access points and mutual exchange of Internet traffic.
The data transmission network will be expanded through the construction of 150 thousand km of fiber-optic communication lines.
Fiber-optic communication lines will be delivered to all settlements, providing at least 80% of households with broadband wired Internet access.
