Samarkand airport resuming its work
Starting today, December 10, the work of the Samarkand International Airport will be restored, Uzbekistan Airports reported.
“The construction of a new aerodrome complex with a length of 3,105 meters and a width of 60 meters, 24 parking spaces, a runway and an apron has been completed,” the report said.
It is noted that the aerodrome complex is equipped with modern, energy-saving light signaling equipment and a landing system.
The airport was closed on October 20. The flights during that period were temporarily diverted to other international airports of the republic - Navoi, Bukhara, Karshi.
