Ziroat Mirziyoeva visits National Rehabilitation Center in Seoul

Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, the Board Chairman of Trustees of the Zamin Foundation, and Kim Jong Un, First Lady of the Republic of Korea, visited the National Rehabilitation Center in Seoul.

According to the Zamin Foundation, the center promotes the health of people with disabilities and their integration into society through rehabilitation, research and education.

It was noted that the guests got acquainted with the advanced experience of the center. Innovative technologies, laboratory activities, as well as the process of production of modern aids for people with disabilities were demonstrated.

“International experience in this area is very useful for us. Such cooperation is important in our future plans to achieve inclusion in society,” the foundation said.

For information, the purpose of the Zamin International Public Fund is to contribute to the sustainable development of the country and improving the living standards of the population.

The activities of the Zamin Foundation are based on 4 areas of long-term, strategic and sustainable projects: cooperation in the field of environmental protection; support projects to monitor air pollution, restore soil fertility and provide drinking water; application of innovative developments in social development and financing of projects in the social sphere; improving the living and learning conditions of hearing-impaired children.

It should be recalled that President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the Republic of Korea on a state visit on December 16. The main events of the visit – bilateral meetings and talks took place on Friday, December 17.

The agenda of the visit included issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Korean strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation, first of all, in priority areas such as “green” economy, investment and innovation, digital technologies, social sphere.

PS: Ziroat Mirziyoyeva Mahmudovna (in Uzbek - Mirziyо́yeva Zirоát Maxmúdovna; born 4 December 1964 in Kokand, Fergana Region, Uzbek SSR) is a public figure, an engineer-economist, spouse of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev Miromonovich.

Ziroat Mirziyoyeva was born on December 4, 1964 in the city of Kokand, Fergana region. 
In 1986, she graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration (now National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation Engineers and Agricultural Mechanization”) as an engineer-economist. She speaks Uzbek, Russian and English. She has two daughters and a son. She is fond of classical and national music and interested in history.

Since 2020 she chairs the Board of Trustees of the Zamin International Public Foundation, which carries out a number of charitable projects on social protection of vulnerable segments of the population, development of health care and education through the creation of an accessible and inclusive environment in Uzbekistan.

Environmental protection is a priority area of the Foundation’s activities. It implements projects on such issues as landscaping, automatization of air quality monitoring, rational use of natural resources, development of environmental education of youth and access to clean potable water in remote areas.  

Conducts a number of activities at both national and international levels to draw greater attention to topical issues in the social and environmental spheres.
