British company to build a sewerage system in Namangan
The $90 million project is being implemented on the basis of a public-private partnership.
Metito Utilities Limited from Great Britain became the winner of the tender for the construction of a sewage treatment plant in Namangan on the basis of a public-private partnership.
This became known at the official ceremony of announcing the winner, which took place yesterday at the Ministry of Finance, Spot reports with reference to the ministerial press service.
The project is estimated at $90 million and envisages the construction of sewage treatment facilities with a capacity of 100,000 m³ per day and a sewage network with a length of 7.5 km.
The implementation period is 25 years, of which the first 2 years are the construction period.
The tender took place in two stages. In the first, 23 foreign companies submitted a request for prequalification documents (RFQs). The second stage of the tender was attended by Metito Utilities Limited from the UK, as well as the consortium Almar Water Solutions BV from the Netherlands.
Metito Utilities Limited won the tender, offering the lowest price for availability fee according to the financial proposal – an annual payment of $9 million. Almar Water Solutions BV’s availability fee amounted to 103.1 billion soums ($9.5 million).
