Permanent population of Uzbekistan nearing 35.3 million people - Statistics Committee
As of January 1, 2022, the permanent population of Uzbekistan was 35,271,276 people, the State Statistics Committee said.

According to the committee, about half of the population (17.9 million) live in urban areas, and 17.4 million people – in rural areas.
As of January 1, 2021, the resident population of the country was 34.55 million.
The population of Uzbekistan has grown by more than 3 million people since 2016.
