Previously, Uzbeks had to register their presence in Russia within seven days of entering the country, while Russians in Uzbekistan had to register in three days.
The President also instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send a notification to the Russian side about the implementation by Uzbekistan of the internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of the agreement.
Currently, the 15-day exemption from registration in Russia applies to citizens of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Armenia.
