Finland to help modernize Uzhydromet
Finland has approved the allocation of a grant to Uzbekistan for the implementation of the project to improve meteorological service in the country.

The total amount of the grant is €2 million ($2.24 million), implementation period – 2022-2025.
The project provides for upgrading the capacity of the Center for Hydrometeorological Service of Uzbekistan (Uzhydromet), training employees, increasing the availability of information services in the industry, and encouraging adaptation to climate change.
The executor from the Finnish side is the Finnish Meteorological Institute, from the Uzbek side – Uzhydromet.
The grant was approved taking into account the requirements of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
