On February 9, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis Nurdinjon Ismoilov.
As the press service of Akorda reported, the President of Kazakhstan highly appreciated the results of the state visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kazakhstan in December last year, which made it possible to bring the Kazakh-Uzbek cooperation to the level of an alliance.
“Uzbekistan is a fraternal state and a reliable partner for Kazakhstan, so we attach particular importance to the development of our relations. Our allied relations cover a wide spectrum, including the political, trade-economic, and humanitarian-cultural spheres. Parliamentary diplomacy plays a special role in this regard,” the head of state said.
It is noted that Nurdinjon Ismoilov expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the opportunity to meet, and also conveyed sincere wishes and warm greetings from the President of Uzbekistan.
