Uzbekistan Airways reports a profit of 45.06 billion soums for 2021

Uzbekistan Airways ended 2021 with a profit of 45.06 billion soums, Spot writes with reference to the company’s report.

The air carrier’s revenue for the year amounted to 6.3 trillion soums, gross profit - 1.4 trillion soums, profit from core activities - 1.1 trillion soums. The company was also able to increase its assets, which at the end of the year amounted to 20.2 trillion soums.

Thus, in comparison with the pandemic year of 2020, which the company ended with a loss of 755.7 billion soums, its gross profit increased considerably.

However, the return on sales in terms of net profit is only 0.7%. That is, from every 1,000 soums of revenue, the airline received only 7 soums of profit. Last year, the prime cost accounted for 77.2% of revenue (4.8 trillion soums) against 83.42% a year earlier (2.78 trillion soums).
