Weightlifter from Uzbekistan suspended from competitions for four years
Uzbek weightlifter Maftuna Ismailova has been disqualified from competitions due to doping, the National Anti-Doping Agency reported.
According to the decision of the ethics commission under the National Anti-Doping Agency of Uzbekistan, the banned substances Oxandrolone and Stanozolol were found in the doping sample of the athlete.
She is suspended for 4 years -- from December 23, 2021, to December 22, 2025 -- for an anti-doping violation under Article 2.1 of the World Anti-Doping Code.
Earlier, the Uzbek Greco-Roman wrestler Sultanbek Elmuratov was also suspended from competitions for four years due to doping.
