Finance Ministry provides data on remittances to Uzbekistan for 2021
In 2021, the volume of cross-border money transfers to Uzbekistan amounted to $8.1 billion, the Ministry of Finance said.
According to the ministry, cross-border money transfers to Uzbekistan increased by 33.8% last year compared to the same period in 2020.
It is noted that in 2021, quarantine restrictions were relaxed in many countries. In turn, this has led to local labor market recovery and increased economic activity.
