Law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and South Korea discuss practical steps of interaction

With the assistance of the Embassy of our country, a videoconference meeting was held between specialists from the Korean National Police Agency, as well as the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard of Uzbekistan, a Dunyo correspondent reports.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, there is a stable and positive dynamics in the development of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries. Videoconferences and meetings are held on a regular basis.
Last year, a large number of mutual visits of delegations were organized, including at the level of leaders. Following the meetings and negotiations held, a number of interdepartmental documents were signed on the further intensification of interaction between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries, as well as Cooperation Plans that provide for specific practical steps for further interaction.
As part of the online meeting, specific steps were discussed to implement practical cooperation in 2022-2023, including organizing visits by the heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea, conducting joint exercises between special forces units on the territory of the two states, exchanging experience in the field training of personnel and the use of modern information technologies, as well as organizing internships for Uzbek specialists in units and educational institutions of the Korean National Police Agency.
