Uzbekistan increases passenger car imports
In January-February 2022, Uzbekistan imported 5,948 passenger cars from 18 countries for $124.5 million.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the import of passenger cars increased by 4,873 or almost 6 times compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the republic imported cars mainly from the following countries:
- China - 3,436
- South Korea - 1,512
- Kazakhstan - 502
- Russia - 431
- USA - 19
- Japan - 15
- Germany - 9
- Hong Kong - 5
- Turkey - 4
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan imported 228 electric vehicles over two months.
