There are more men than women in Uzbekistan – Statistics Committee
According to preliminary data from the State Statistics Committee, as of April 1, 2022, the permanent population of the republic amounted to 35,433,772 people.
Of this, 17,825,838 are men and 17,607,934 are women.
The committee notes that as of April 1, 2022, the number of men in the permanent population is 217,904 more than the number of women.
In 1991, 50.6% of the permanent population of the country were women. The figure dropped to 49.7% in April 2022.
