Statistics Committee names provinces with highest number of marriages

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-March 2022, 57,873 marriages were registered in the country. This is less by 2,015 compared to the same period last year.

Samarkand region leads in the number of registered marriages by region – 6,341 cases. The next places are taken by Kashkadarya and Fergana regions, where 6,213 and 5,341 marriages were recorded, respectively.

• Surkhandarya region – 5,136;
• Tashkent region – 4,572;
• Andijan region – 4,521;
• Tashkent city – 4,306;
• Karakalpakstan R. – 4,149;
• Bukhara region – 3,694;
• Namangan region – 3,611;
• Jizzakh region – 2,095;
• Syrdarya region – 1,339;
• Navoi region – 1,314.
