Bus with citizens of Uzbekistan overturns in Kazakhstan, 2 dead
A bus with citizens of Uzbekistan got into an accident on the highway Western Europe - Western China in Kazakhstan, which passes through the territory of the Zhambyl region, Kazinform reports.
According to the Emergency Situations Department of the Zhambyl region, the accident occurred at 571 km of the Almaty-Tashkent highway, 6 kilometers from the village of Bauyrjan Momishuli, Zhualinsky district, Zhambyl region.
“The cause of the accident is being investigated by the authorities,” the report says.
As a result of the accident, the driver’s assistant and one of the passengers died on the spot, 33 people were hospitalized, three of them are in intensive care.
According to preliminary data, the accident occurred due to worsening weather conditions (rain and hail), the bus driver lost control and collided with a tractor trailer moving in the same direction.
