Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds a meeting with newly elected President of UAE
The head of state congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Al Nahyan on his election as President of the United Arab Emirates.

On Sunday, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the United Arab Emirates to express condolences on the death of the country’s President, Emir of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Presidential Complex in Abu Dhabi hosted a meeting between the head of state and the newly elected President of the United Arab Emirates, Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
At the beginning of the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed deep condolences to the President and the friendly people of the Emirates on the untimely death of President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The huge contribution of Sheikh Khalifa to the development and strengthening of friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the countries was especially noted.
The President of Uzbekistan also congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Al Nahyan on his election to the highest state post in the country, sincerely wishing him great success in his future activities.
The leaders considered topical issues of expanding the Uzbek-Emirati practical cooperation.
The head of state also held meetings with UAE FM Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy PM, Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Following the meetings, Shavkat Mirziyoyev ended his visit and returned to Tashkent.
