Uzbek-Israeli inter-MFA political consultations held in Tashkent
Yesterday, the 7th round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Israel took place in Tashkent.
According to the MFA, the delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy FM of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov and Deputy Director General, Head of the Department of Eurasia and the Western Balkans Division of the Israeli Foreign Ministry Gary Koren.
During the consultations, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of the Uzbek-Israeli agenda, as well as interaction on international platforms.
A schedule of closest contacts was discussed, including the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and the next round of consultations on the inventory of the legal framework.
The parties stated the importance of deepening the inter-parliamentary dialogue, which occupies a special place on the bilateral agenda.
Certain issues of the regional and international agenda were considered.
The parties reaffirmed their readiness to progressively develop bilateral ties in a mutually beneficial and pragmatic manner.
Mutual interest was expressed in continuing inter-MFA consultations on a regular basis.
Following the meeting, a Protocol on cooperation and bilateral consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Israel was signed.
