Civil Registry Office names provinces with highest twin birth rates

According to the institution, during the reporting period, three women had quadruplets, 43 women had triplets and 3,084 women had twins.

The highest number of twin births in January-April was registered in Samarkand region – 354, followed by Fergana region – 347, the city of Tashkent – 328 and Kashkadarya region – 303.

In the relatively sparsely populated Syrdarya region, 84 twins were born, and in Navoi region – 104 twins.
