US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West arriving in Uzbekistan

On May 26-28, an American delegation led by US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West will visit Uzbekistan.

The US delegation will hold talks with officials of Uzbekistan, including Acting Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov and Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev.

During the meetings, it is planned to exchange views on the current situation in Afghanistan, as well as issues of providing humanitarian assistance to this country.

It should be recalled that on May 23-25, a US delegation headed by Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu visited Uzbekistan.
