Ministry of Energy calculates social norms for electricity
From July 1, it is planned to switch to differentiated tariffs for electricity and gas for the population. Experts from the Ministry of Energy have calculated how much the social norm for electricity will last.
It should be recalled that now Uzbeks pay 295 soums for 1 kWh of electricity. If the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On changing prices for fuel and energy resources” is approved and enters into force, then consumers will pay 325 soums per 1 kWh of electricity.
According to the new possible tariff within the social norm – up to 250 kWh per month – Uzbeks will pay up to 81,250 soums per month. Now consumers pay 73,750 soums for 250 kWh.
It turns out that additional costs for subscribers using electricity in the amount of 250 kWh will amount to 7,500 soums per month.
Previously, it was also reported that the price for each 1 kWh over 250 kWh will be 650 soums.
Experts drew attention to the presence of 11 types of electrical appliances (including light bulbs) in one household. These are a TV, a refrigerator, an iron, an electric kettle, a microwave oven, a washing machine, a boiler, 7 light bulbs (modern and economical), a vacuum cleaner and a computer. In all indicators, experts took an average calculation, since in some apartment consumers can use even more appliances and for a longer time, and in some households certain electrical appliances may not be available or they are rarely used.
As can be seen from the above table, during the month, Uzbeks use an average of 180.67 kWh. At the same time, the monthly rate is up to 250 kWh per month.
However, it is important to pay attention to the fact that in winter, in almost all regions of Uzbekistan, residents actively use electric heaters. These costs are not included in the table above.
