Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives a delegation led by General of US Armed Forces
On 13 June, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Commander of the Central Command of the United States Armed Forces, General Michael Kurilla.

The sides discussed issues of further development of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States and the expansion of multifaceted cooperation, the continuation of practical contacts in the field of regional security.
Particular attention was paid to the promotion of initiatives and programs to ensure peace and stability in Afghanistan and to promote socio-economic recovery, including the implementation of priority infrastructure projects.
Earlier, Secretary of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan Viktor Makhmudov also received Michael Kurilla.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the military and military-technical spheres. The sides exchanged views on regional security and stability in Central Asia, including the current situation in Afghanistan.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached on further development of mutually beneficial dialogue on topical issues of the bilateral and regional agenda.
