Number of divorces increased by 23% in six months
From January 1 to June 1, 20,798 families in Uzbekistan officially divorced. This is 4,700 more than in the same period last year.
As of June 1, 2022, the Civil Registry Offices have registered 20,798 rulings in the country. According to the Ministry of Justice, this figure has increased by 4,700 compared to the same period last year.
In particular, according to the relevant courts decisions – 14,986, by mutual consent – 5,812 cases.
In terms of regions, the highest rates were recorded in Andijan, Fergana, Namangan regions and in the city of Tashkent.
The number of divorces by regions:
• Samarkand region – 368;
• Fergana region – 793;
• Kashkadarya region – 368 units;
• Andijan region – 800;
• Surkhandarya region – 353;
• Namangan region – 706;
• Tashkent region – 693;
• Tashkent city – 732;
• Bukhara region – 184;
• Jizzakh region – 248;
• Republic of Karakalpakstan – 76;
• Khorezm region – 176;
• Navoi region – 109;
• Syrdarya region – 206.
