In September, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko plans to visit Uzbekistan, where he will take part in the SCO Summit. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko.
According to him, in Tashkent, Lukashenko will also hold a bilateral meeting with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin would take part in the SCO Summit and a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State in autumn.
It should be recalled that in February 2021, the president signed a decree “On measures to prepare for the SCO Summit in Samarkand”.
The document approved the composition of the republican organizing commission for preparations for the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and a phased work plan for holding the summit events.
Later, Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov said that 8 hotels of different categories and stars would be built in Samarkand. They will be designed for 1.2 thousand rooms, which will accommodate guests and participants of the upcoming summit.
