Mirziyoyev and Tokayev discuss the situation in Karakalpakstan
On July 4, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the conversation, topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance were considered.
The President of Kazakhstan expressed full support for the decisive measures taken by the head of state to curb illegal actions, ensure stability and sustainable development in Karakalpakstan.
Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of agreements at the highest level, including the promotion of cooperation projects in the field of industry, agriculture, transport, logistics, and mutual deliveries of products.
The parties exchanged views on issues of multilateral regional cooperation in the context of preparations for the next consultative meeting of the heads of states of Central Asia.
