Two citizens of Uzbekistan killed in car accident in Kazakhstan
The accident occurred in the Shetsky district of the Karaganda region, Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan has reported that at 03:21 on July 16, according to information received from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, a MAN truck and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passenger minibus collided on the 850th km of the Almaty-Yekaterinburg highway in the Shetsky district. As a result of the accident, 8 of the 17 passengers in the minibus died on the spot, 9 passengers sustained various injuries and were hospitalized in the Aksu-Ayulin rural hospital.
Among the dead are two citizens of Uzbekistan, three citizens were injured and they are receiving qualified medical care.
Responsible authorities of Kazakhstan are providing assistance in the speedy elimination of the consequences of the accident.
Currently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan is conducting a preliminary investigation into the case.
