Over 130,000 emergency calls received during hot days
A total of 130,115 calls were received by the Republican emergency medical service from July 17 to 06:00 on July 20, the head of the Dispatch center for coordination of Emergency Medical Service of the Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medicine under the Ministry of Health Davlatbek Yuldashev reported.
According to him, 23,421 of the applicants were patients with high blood pressure, shortness of breath, asthma attacks and other chronic diseases. 4,215 of them were hospitalized.
“Furthermore, on these dates, a total of 11,821 calls were received by the “103” service of Tashkent city. Patients with high blood pressure, shortness of breath, asthma and other diseases made up 4,235 of the appeals. 2,185 of them were admitted to hospitals for treatment,” the report said.
Due to hot weather, special control of the Ministry of Health has been established. Patronage services have been strengthened in 1,010 polyclinics and 923 family doctor’s offices in the country. Necessary medical assistance has been provided to bedridden patients with chronic diseases in a timely manner. Also, 2,762 ambulance brigades in the republic receive calls from the population.
The Ministry advised residents not to go out in the heat unless necessary, to drink fluids frequently, to avoid fatty and smoked foods as much as possible. Eating more fruits and vegetables has been recommended.
