Mirziyoyev, Tokayev and Japarov sign an agreement on friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation for development of Central Asia
On July 21, at the fourth consultative meeting of the leaders of Central Asian countries in Cholpon-Ata, the “Treaty of friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation for development of Central Asia in the 21st century” was signed.
This document was signed by Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Sadyr Japarov, Akipress reports.
The summit was also attended by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedow.
Also, the following documents have been signed:
- the decision of the heads of states-founders of the international fund for saving the Aral Sea to extend the powers of the president of the fund;
- joint statement of the consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries;
- the concept of interaction between the Central Asian states within the framework of multilateral formats;
- regional program “Green Agenda for Central Asia”;
- a roadmap for the development of regional cooperation for 2022-2024.
