The press service of the Defense Ministry denied the report of the Anti-Corruption Agency that in the first half of the year, 1,106 cases of violations in the field of public procurements worth 36.1 billion soums were detected.

“The circumstances described in the agency’s report are errors and omissions made during the 5-year operation of the “Military Trade” enterprises, which have absolutely nothing to do with the budget funds of the Defense Ministry,” the Ministry said in a statement.
Later, the Anti-Corruption Agency edited the information on its Telegram channel and removed the numbers related to the Ministry of Defense.
According to the agency’s report, financial mistakes and deficiencies worth 48.5 billion soums were found in 1,143 cases in 10 ministries, offices and organizations in connection with compliance with the law on state procurement.
