Dozens of trees worth 856 million soums illegally cut down in Fergana
In Fergana region, employees of the regional electric power grids illegally cut down perennial trees, claiming that the trees allegedly pose a danger to human life.

Information on the incident came from MP Rasul Kusherbayev, who, referring to the appeals of citizens, noted that illegal cutting down of trees happened in Kirketmon village, Uzbekistan district of Fergana region.
According to the Fergana Regional Department of the Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection, 48 pine trees, 9 willow bushes and more than 30 fruit trees were illegally chopped down.
The amount of damage caused to the environment is estimated at 856.5 million soums.
