Strong magnetic storms expected in Uzbekistan
Today, August 18, magnetic storms of magnitude 6, which is considered an extremely active phase, may hit Uzbekistan at noon.
Erkin Abdulahadov, a Uzhydromet expert, said that on August 18-19, a very active phase of magnetic storms will be observed in the northern hemisphere, in particular, in Uzbekistan.
5-6 magnitude magnetic storms with G3 and G4 levels are forecast for today.
A G4 magnetic storm has a high impact force. This force can affect communications, power grids, navigation systems, satellite flights, induction currents in pipes and tubes, geological exploration, and human health.
Many people may experience numbness in the back of the head and some nausea during the day.
