School textbooks to be rented free of charge
Shavkat Mirziyoyev has instructed responsible officials to immediately organize the free renting of school textbooks and exercise books.
According to Sherzod Asadov, spokesperson for the president, Mirziyoyev “was informed about the objections expressed by the general public and parents in connection with the sharp increase in the renting prices of school textbooks and exercise books.”
Taking into account that school textbooks play an extremely important role in the general secondary education of children, and in order to support school students and their parents, legal representatives, and to ensure social justice, the president instructed the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Public Education to immediately organize the free renting of school textbooks and exercise books.
