A video has been circulated on social networks, in which a schoolteacher in the Nurabad district, Samarkand region, distributes books to students. The teacher was throwing books from above, as if she were distributing alms.

According to the press service of the Nurabad district administration, the incident occurred in secondary school No. 1. It became known that the 4th grade teacher threw the books.

A special working group studied the incident. As a result, the employment contract with the teacher was terminated. In addition, the school principal, who did not control the distribution of books, was also relieved of his post.

It should be recalled that this year the average one-time rent for one textbook (workbook) has increased by 108% compared to the amount of the previous academic year. Later, the MPE told why the rent of textbooks has increased significantly.

Yesterday, September 5, presidential press secretary Sherzod Asadov said that school textbooks play an extremely important role in the general secondary education of children, and in order to support schoolchildren, their parents and legal representatives, ensure social justice, the head of state instructed the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Public Education to take urgent measures to organize free rental of school textbooks and workbooks.

Later, the head of the presidential administration, Sardor Umurzakov, instructed to study the transparency of the publication of textbooks.
