Two mild earthquakes shake Uzbekistan over the night
The first earthquake occurred in Kyrgyzstan, the second - in the territory of one of the regions of Uzbekistan.
Two earthquakes were felt in Uzbekistan on the night of September 8-9, according to the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The first earthquake occurred at 1:29 am in Kyrgyzstan. The magnitude was М=4.6, the depth – 5 km. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 168 km in the southeast direction.
The strength of the tremors on the territory of Uzbekistan:
Bekabad city: 2-3 points, 58 km;
Shirin city: 2-3 points, 68 km;
Bekabad district: 2 points, 78 km;
Yangiabad district: 2 points, 81 km;
Bayaut district: 2 points, 89 km.
The second earthquake occurred on the territory of Uzbekistan at 2:00 am. The epicenter was located in the Asaka district of Andijan region. The magnitude was М=3.3, the depth - 10 km. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 259 km in the southeast direction.
The strength of tremors:
Asaka district: 2 points, 11 km;
Shakhrikhan district: 2 points, 14 km;
Markhamat district: 2 points, 14 km;
Kuva district: 2 points, 14 km.
